How did you get involved in derby?
I was persuaded by several friends, over and over.
What kept you coming back?
Skating is like flying, and it felt like it came to me more easily than I imagined. I felt empowered.
What is the story of your derby name and number?
My derby number was my first favorite number as a child. My derby number is in reference to my first favorite bird as a child.
What recognition’s or awards have you received as a skater?
2 MVP Blocker, 1 overall MVP (Mitten Kitten Tournament!)
What are your favorite wheels?
How has roller derby changed your life in general?
I tend to be a thinker and a planner. Roller derby makes me think off the cuff. It makes me use my guts and my will. I believe it’s made me more of a well-rounded individual.

Keep skating…as much as possible.

The level of intensity.

A couple of nice hematomas and a black eye.
